Or let AI draft it

Paste a client voice note or a two-line review and ProofPrompt AI returns a first draft in this exact structure.

The template — copy and fill in

Each line is a section heading followed by what belongs under it. Keep the order; it mirrors how a buyer evaluates you.

  • Snapshot — client name, industry, size, and the headline result in one sentence
  • The problem — what was going wrong, in the client's own words, with the cost of leaving it alone
  • What they tried first — the workaround or competitor that did not stick, and why
  • The solution — what you did, in the order you did it, kept concrete and free of jargon
  • The result — the before and after numbers, the timeframe, and anything qualitative that changed
  • In their words — one direct quote, unedited beyond trimming, attributed with name and role

Worked example

The same six sections, filled in. Notice that the result section names a timeframe and the quote is left in the client's voice rather than polished into marketing copy.

  • Snapshot: A six-person design studio cut proposal turnaround from nine days to two.
  • Problem: Every proposal was rebuilt from scratch, so the founder wrote until midnight and warm leads went cold.
  • Tried first: A shared folder of old proposals — nobody could tell which version had been approved.
  • Solution: Built a reusable scope library, three fixed pricing tiers, and a one-page approval step.
  • Result: Turnaround dropped from nine days to two, and close rate went from 22% to 35% over one quarter.
  • Quote: "I stopped dreading proposals. That is the whole thing, really." — Studio founder

The interview questions that fill the template

Ask these five in a short call or as a voice-note request. Each one feeds a specific section, so you never end up with praise you cannot use.

  • What was the situation before we started, and what was it costing you?
  • What had you already tried, and why did it not stick?
  • What made you decide to go ahead with us?
  • What is different now — and is there a number attached to it?
  • What would you say to someone weighing up the same decision?

Common mistakes to avoid

Most success stories fail for the same handful of reasons, and all of them are fixable before you publish.

  • Leading with your company instead of the client's problem
  • Publishing adjectives with no numbers behind them
  • Rewriting the quote until it sounds like your marketing team
  • Skipping client sign-off on names, logos, and figures
  • Burying the outcome below the fold instead of in the first sentence

Skip the blank page

The slow part is not the template — it is getting the client to answer at all, then shaping a rambling reply into something publishable. ProofPrompt AI sends a collection link, accepts a written reply or a voice note, transcribes it, and drafts the story in this Problem-Solution-Result structure for you to edit and approve.
